Educational Resources

The Wyoming State Geological Survey’s (WSGS) education program is intended to promote public awareness of Wyoming’s geologic, mineral, and energy resources. Wyoming’s coal resources are vital to the state and providing people with knowledge of this energy resource – from students to decision makers – allows the state to better understand, appreciate, and manage this coal in the future.

Our educational programs include regularly updated website content, interactive maps and figures, summary reports and presentations. The agency is also working to develop videos and other multimedia for the public to gain a better understanding of Wyoming coal and the state’s mining efforts.
