The Wyoming State Geological Survey is proud to announce the completion of the
Yellowstone Geologic GIS Database that explores the geological wonders of Yellowstone National Park. This project, funded
by the U.S. Geological Survey, includes a never before seen collection of data which is
now available in the GIS
data center. Other features include an
online mapping application
that allows users to explore the geology of Yellowstone through a Web browser, a
media gallery
containing photographs and video clips of Yellowstone. The site also includes maps
illustrating
recent volcanic and geologic events
within the park.
