Earthquake Felt in Star Valley Area

A Magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred at 3:07 AM on January 16, 2003 in far eastern Idaho, and was felt by some residents of Fairview, Wyoming. The earthquake was centered approximately 4 miles west-southwest of Fairview, and approximately 6 miles southeast of the Auburn Fish Hatchery. No damage was reported from this earthquake, which was detected by both the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center and the University of Utah's Seismograph Stations.
