The Geohydrology Section of the Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS) investigates and provides information on the water resources of the State of Wyoming from a geological perspective. Water resources include both surface water and groundwater and the investigations involve the occurrence, quantity, and quality of water within the state. The Geohydrology Section compiles, evaluates, and disseminates the data it collects on Wyoming’s water resources. The section is composed of one full-time geohydrologist and a second full-time employee whose time is shared with the WSGS Oil and Gas Section.
