The Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS) has released the latest installment of Wyoming Minerals Update, a quarterly publication about developments and activities in Wyoming’s mineral industry. The October 2005 issue contains oil and gas, coal, and coalbed natural gas updates. The Minerals Update continues the series of mineral update articles formerly published in Wyoming Geo-notes. The last issue of Geo-notes was No. 82 for July 2005.

Wyoming Minerals Update articles are available for download and viewing in Portable Document Format (PDF) from the WSGS Web site http://www.wsgs.uwyo.edu. Click on “Wyoming Mineral Updates” in the “Featured Links” section on the WSGS home page, or go directly to http://www.wsgs.uwyo.edu/djvu/default.aspx and select “Wyoming Minerals Updates.”

The WSGS will publish Wyoming Minerals Update approximately every quarter and will include update articles on Oil and Gas, Coal, Coalbed Natural Gas, Industrial Minerals and Uranium, and Metals and Precious Stones. Readers may request to be notified by email when new update articles are available, and may choose to receive notification for any or all of the articles.
