The Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS) has released updated open file reports (OFRs) or industrial mineral reports (IMRs) for 16 industrial minerals found in Wyoming. These reports, prepared by the Industrial Minerals and Uranium Section at the WSGS, have now been updated to include production and use data to 2001 along with recent information on production and consumption trends.

The minerals and their report numbers include alum (OFR 86-24), anorthosite (OFR 90-1), asbestos (IMR 95-2), railroad ballast (OFR 86-22), clay (exclusive of bentonite) (OFR 87-3), columbium and niobium (OFR 87-6), fluorite (OFR 88-10), garnet (IMR 95-1), mica (OFR 89-8), potash (OFR 86-23), pumice (OFR 86-17), rare earth elements (IMR 91-3), sinter and travertine (OFR 86-20), sulfur (OFR 86-15), tripolite (OFR 89-4), vermiculite (OFR 90-3), and zeolites (OFR 90-4).
