New Geology Oil, Gas, & Water Well Map For Southeastern Wyoming
The Wyoming State Geological Survey released today its latest map: “SELECT GEOLOGY, Oil, Gas, and Water Wells of Southeastern Wyoming”, compiled by Jim Stafford and Tomas Gracias.
Wallace Ulrich, acting Director and State Geologist said: “ This map of southeastern Wyoming not only illustrates in one sheet the bedrock geology, it contains placement of oil, gas and some 20,000 water wells in a four county region of Wyoming now experiencing exploration for oil resources. The map and the accompanying data disk provide the public, industry, and other agencies charged with water and resource managment a timely data tool.”
