WSGS Public Outreach
|
The Wyoming State Geological Survey’s (WSGS) Public Outreach Program centers on the geologic wonders of Wyoming, as well as the minerals, energy and water resources of the state. Our efforts include disseminating a wide range of informational products, as well as presenting our research at conferences and events, and leading educational field trips. Each year WSGS geologists provide students (K-12) and adults with information about Wyoming’s geology, energy and mineral resources and earth science. We tailor our activities to be appropriate for different age groups and interests. If you are a school teacher, conference organizer or civic club member/officer, we would be glad to present to your class, event or group. Please contact our outreach coordinator to schedule a visit or to inquire about scheduling a field trip, and the availability of our educational materials.
