2003
Wyoming Geographic Information Advisory Council
Survey Results

The 2003 Wyoming Geographic Information Advisory Council (WGIAC) Survey was conducted under the direction of the WGIAC executive members to gain a better understanding for the need and direction of WGIAC and GIS in Wyoming. It was conducted as an anonymous online (internet) survey with the information collected and compiled into a database resulting in statistics and compiled comments for the guidance and improvement of the WGIAC organization. All Wyoming GIS users were invited to participate in the survey.

The WGIAC mission:

The Wyoming Geographic Information Advisory Council will promote statewide interests and requirements for mapping data. The Council will insure that state and local interests are represented and will communicate and coordinate the state's requirements to the appropriate federal sector. Further, the Council will serve, where possible, as a focal point for coordination between federal and state agencies for mapping programs and products, encouraging input from county, local and private parties.
